Information: There is a single historical record from PNP, based on Zaganiaris (1940), probably in a vernal pool or seasonally wet grassland. The records requires confirmation and may refer to another Isoetes species. I. histrix is scattered throughout Greece and occurs in much of the Mediterranean area and W Europe.
