Platanthera fornicata (Bab.) Buttler

Presence: Confirmed
Status: Native
Lifeform: Geophyte
Habitat: Grassland, Woodland
Protection status: Presidencial Degree 67/1981
Information: P. fornicata, a taxon of SE Europe, has only recently been separated from the widespread, Euro-Siberian P. bifolia, and it remains to be established whether the two are consistently different. It is not clear whether Prespa plants should be referred to P. fornicata subsp. fornicata or to subsp. atropatanica (B. Baumann & al.) Buttler (Strid et al., 2021).
